Dear Assemblyman,
Please support the veal calf bill A 1948. I think it is
sad that baby cows are chained up so they can't move. I made
a vow to myself that I will be a vegetarian when I'm 20. If
you support the bill, the earth-watchers will be very happy!!!
Sincerely,
From a Lowell School earth-watcher friend, Allison, age 10
Please support the bill A 1948. This bill supports fair treatment to veal
calves. I think you should help the veal calves because they need to grow
strong and be able to get the chance of living.
Sincerely,
Dajirah, age 9
Dear Assemblyman,
Please support the bill A 1948 about veal calves. I think veal calves
should be given humane treatment. They should have space to run around and
be given enough food and water. They should live in an environment that
they are used to. They should not be dirty and live in a dirty
environment. Animals are like humans and they should live a healthy and
good life. I hope you understand my letter.
Sincerely,
Your Lowell earth-watcher friend, Megan, age 8
Dear Assemblyman,
Could you please support the bill for the veal calves? I
know that we eat them but that does not mean that they should
be chained up until they're ready to be killed and eaten. So
please help to treat them better by supporting the bill. Thank
you!
Sincerely,
Your earth watcher friend, Felise, age 10
Dear Assemblyman,
Please support the bill A 1948. This bill gives veal calves fair
treatment. These calves need fresh air and enough food. They aren't used
to the environment they're brought to. Clean water is also what they need.
If you were a calf you would want fair treatment. I'm counting on you.
Sincerely,
Your earth-watcher friend, Ben, age 9
